GENERAL FACTS

 

Belgium is more than just the heart of Europe!

 

• Belgium is currently one of the top 10 best countries to live in. 
• The salary is one of the highest in Europe. 
• There is automatic wage indexation, which is quite unique.
• Foreigners receive the same salary as Belgian professionals. There is no discrimination. 
• The standard of living is high. 
• Lower rental prices than in Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam, Paris and London.
• The social security system is expensive for the employer but one the best for the employee. 
• Belgium ranks third in the global ranking for work-life balance.
• Belgium has 3 official languages: Dutch, French and German. Belgian people have also a basic level of English. 
   

 

PRACTICAL FACTS

Once the decision to move to Belgium has been made, the preparation starts.

There is a lot involved, but TeamTalent is available for assistance. 

 

 

• You must register in Belgium.

• The local police officer will check if you actually live at the address given.

• Each city asks for specific documents in order to register yourself as a resident. Don’t worry, we’ll assist you.

• All EU driving licenses are valid in Belgium. Non-EU drivers need a international driving license.

• Opening a bank account once you have an employment contract is very easy.

• As soon as you sign an employment contract, you have a health insurance and you are covered for almost every health problem.

• Tax declaration can be done online.

• Child allowance until the children have graduated.

• Compulsory education from the age of 6 till the age of 18. Home education is allowed.

• Recycling is mandatory and very strictly organized

LANGUAGE COURSE

 

In Belgium they speak three languages: Dutch, English and German. Our vacancies mostly come from Flanders, the northern part of Belgium, where we speak Dutch.

 

We provide a language course, out of the ordinary.

Our experience, based on university approved methods, complemented with professional teaching material, creates a unique procedure to learn the Dutch language in 10 weeks. Not everyone is linguistic talented, but we start from the  principle that everyone has talent to learn. We promote your capacities, and encourage your learning curve  in a creative way.

 

It's 10 weeks of hard work, resulting in a positive attitude to commence and/or expand your career.
